The Village of Annawan is excited to announce the recruitment for the open position of Chief of Police, after our current Chief of Police announced his retirement after 11 years of service.

The Village of Annawan Police Department is a well-equipped and modern police department. The Police Department is a part time police department that consists with a manpower of a full time Chief of Police, full time School Resource Officer, and several part time officers.

The ideal candidate qualifications will consist of:

• Previous full time law enforcement experience
• Certified through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board
• Strong organizational skills
• Investigative experience
• Proven leadership and supervision abilities
• Possess a general knowledge of NIBRS
• Possess a general knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act
• The ability to maintain a strong working relationship with neighboring agencies

The Village of Annawan offers:

• Salary $65,000-$70,000 dependent on qualifications and experience
